{"id":74,"date":"2024-11-16T00:20:00","date_gmt":"2024-11-16T00:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mechanik.team\/?p=74"},"modified":"2025-07-06T14:05:23","modified_gmt":"2025-07-06T14:05:23","slug":"udzial-w-x-challenge-2024-w-kategorii-task-hunters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mechanik.team\/en\/udzial-w-x-challenge-2024-w-kategorii-task-hunters\/","title":{"rendered":"Participation in X-Challenge 2024 in the Task Hunters category"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\"><strong>November 16, 2024<\/strong> will be remembered for a long time by the members of the School Robotics Club <strong>Mechanik TEAM\u201d<\/strong> - it was on this day that the <strong>3rd edition of the International Robotics Tournament X-Challenge 2024<\/strong> took place, one of the most prestigious events for young robotics enthusiasts from Poland and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/papiernicy.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-135\" style=\"width:256px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/papiernicy.png 1024w, https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/papiernicy-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/papiernicy-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/papiernicy-768x768.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Our team couldn't be missing among the participants. We were represented by the \"Papiernica\" team, and we entered our first robot \u2013 the brave \"Fredzio\" \u2013 into the fray. Although the robot's construction was almost last-minute, with a very limited budget and even more improvisation, we succeeded and competed in the \"Task Hunters\" category, one of the tournament's more demanding competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/xchallange_2024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-136\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/xchallange_2024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/xchallange_2024-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/xchallange_2024-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Was it easy? Definitely not! During the test run, which was recorded on television, there was an unfortunate crash and\u2026 one of the wheels broke off. Between rounds, power problems arose, and at the climax \u2013 just before the final \u2013 the robot's arm broke. It was a thrilling race against time, against malfunctions, and against stage fright \u2013 but also a tremendous lesson in determination, teamwork, and performance under pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Despite all these obstacles, we achieved 10th place out of 17 teams, which, considering the Club's first-ever start and debut design, is a source of pride for us. \"Fredzio,\" though not without injuries, bravely faced the challenges of the track and showed that passion and persistence can elevate even the simplest machine to the arena of international competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/fredzio.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-133\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/fredzio.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/fredzio-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mechanik.team\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/fredzio-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">For us, this is just the beginning.
